Chemical Peels

Peel away imperfections and concerns. AlumierMD chemical peels are medical grade peels, each with a unique complex of ingredients that can be customized for you and your specific skin concerns. They are used to improve skin tone and texture through the use of applied acid that intentionally damages the epidermis and/or dermis of the skin, with the aim of stimulating new tissue to help improve skin texture and tone. Chemical peels can be superficial, medium, or deep, depending on how deep they penetrate. The strength of the peel is determined by the ingredients used, their concentration and the pH of the formulation. They work to resurface and improve overall skin tone, improve texture, treat fine lines and inflamed acne, reduce brown spots, brighten skin, and reduce wrinkles.

What happens after an alumier peel?

Alumier MD skin treatments result in minimal to no downtime but create dramatic and visible results. Treatments can cause slight redness, tightness, peeling, flaking or temporary dryness. Most patients do not find it necessary to apply makeup, as the skin with be smooth, dewy and radiant following your treatment.

Q: What are the side effects of alumier glow peel?

The main side effects are usually tenderness and increased sensitivity to the sun. If you have sensitive skin, you may experience residual redness, which can last 1 to 12 hours, or you might have light to moderate flaking in a few localized areas for 3 to 7 days.

Can you see results after 1 peel?

It usually takes several treatment sessions to see the desired outcomes. Most people notice some improvement after their first chemical peel, but with multiple treatments over the span of several months, patients will be astonished by how much better their skin looks.

How long does it take to recover from alumier glow peel?

Usually 3-5 days after the treatment, fresh new skin will develop after the peeling has run its course. Your new skin may feel tight and warm or may look somewhat red immediately after a treatment. Recovery time varies slightly, and skin might be temporarily lighter or darker than normal, depending on the patient.

Who should avoid chemical peels?

Who should avoid getting a chemical peel? Peels are not recommended for anyone who is pregnant or nursing, has inflamed acne or sunburn or is taking Accutane. People who use retinoids can get a chemical peel but must stop using the product three to four days before treatment.

What happens if you wear makeup after chemical peel?

It needs some time to heal after your procedure. Also, new skin revealed by the peel is susceptible to irritation, and makeup could clog your pores. Note, if you do choose to wear makeup after your peel, you may find it flakes or peels off because your topmost layer of skin is peeling away.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that is used to help renew overall skin texture and tone. It can help to improve the appearance of wrinkles, sun damage, fine lines, age spots, light scarring, melisma, acne, a dull complexion, and other skin-related concerns.
